Transferring from bowl to bowl

Today we did a bit of transferring by spoon from bowl to bowl. I gave her some dyed rice in a bowl, an empty bowl, and a spoon, and she practiced transferring the rice back and forth.


And of course, we spilled a good amount on the floor, too. Oh

Let's bake together!

I am almost ashamed to say that Siri and I had never cooked or baked together before last Monday. Courtney and I decided to start holding Family Home Evening, so it seemed like a good time for Siri and me to make some cookies together to have for a treat. Courtney and I are hoping that our home evenings will only occasionally, not always, be a family fight that begins and ends with a prayer. Why not sweeten the experience with treats!

Siri enjoyed the baking very much.


I measured the ingredients and then handed her the measuring cups and spoons, and she put everything together.


The cookies we made were Dreena Burton's Super-Charge Me! vegan cookies and they were very tasty.

By the way, home evening lasted approximately 7 minutes and there were no fights or crying spells. (Brother was already in bed; we'll see what happens when he stays awake long enough to be present.)
